- Only genuine pilgrims are given rooms at Bandel Shrine. The rule is First come, first served. Advance reservations are not entertained except for those coming from other states.
- Rooms will be given only to those who have a letter of introduction from the parish priest/curate on the parish letterhead with a seal and signature.
- The letter of the parish priest is to be approved by the Prior of Bandel Church or to any other Priests before rooms are assigned.
- Vehicles are permitted to park in the Church campus provided a letter from the Parish Priest/ Curate is produced as identity proof. No parking fee is charged.
- Registration of the rooms is done at the Souvenir Centre after approval from the Prior or any other Priests from Bandel Church
- Except on Sundays, daily Masses are celebrated in Bengali at 12.00 midday for pilgrims. Mass intentions may be given at the souvenir centre.
- Confessors will be available on request.
- During Feasts and Novenas or for very special reasons more than one night stay may be allowed. Pilgrims’ rooms are not suitable for Retreats.
- The rooms are furnished with bed-stead and mattress, fan and electric light, and drinking water tap. table, chairs, (no bed sheets, towels, blankets).
- Groups of teenagers and youngsters are not granted the use of rooms unless they are accompanied by any Father, Sister, Brother, responsible Teacher or Catechist. A letter from the Parish Priest / Curate should confirm the devotional purpose of the stay.
- The Basilica and the interior premises are open to all from 8.00 am to 4.50 pm for all.
- Bandel Basılica is not a picnic spot, a lodging facility, or a holiday stop-over. The Basilica and the Balcony are only for prayer and not a meeting or resting place.
- Cooking of food is not permitted in the rooms. Cooked food may be consumed in the rooms or in the Fatima Hall area. Pilgrims are advised to maintain religious decorum and not to be noisy or engage in any type of merry-making activities in the church premises.
- Pilgrims coming in groups may arrange meals with the Mothers’ Sodality of Bandel Church. Please contact the Prior or the President of the Mothers’ Sodality.
- The Church premises remain closed on Christmas Day and the first of January. However, Masses are celebrated these two days as on Sundays, except for the evening Mass which remains cancelled.
- All Pilgrims and visitors are kindly recommended to maintain dignified behaviour and avoid noisy disturbances in the Shrine premises.
- Except on Sundays, the Adoration chapel with Blessed Sacrament exposed will be open to pilgrims from 7.15 am to 4.00 pm.
